Ya Vacations...!!!!
We got invited to go to Glendo, WY. to go boating on the Glendo Reservoir and we had a great time.
We headed out Friday morning with our friends Brock Sishc (who's family's house we were staying at) and Kaylie (who is our Varsity Girl's and Boy's Swim Coach.)
This was Heather and my first trip to Wyoming and we were EXCITED!!! To everyone in our group's chagrin.
Talk about OPEN SPACES!!?!?!? Take a look at the two shots from the Jeep. Very different then driving down I-5 from LA to San Diego, maybe you only get this through Pendleton(On a dream day!!!)
We got into Glendo Marina around noon, settled our stuff in the rooms and got ready to have some fun. The Marina was what you would expect, a little snack store, a liquor shop!!!, Boat essentials and a little cafe.
Heather put the Sea Doo into the Reservoir and took off for Sandy Beach, the rest hopped into the Jeep and drove to the opposite end of the Reservoir. Spent the rest of the afternoon beveraging and enjoying the Sun and water, taking turns on the Sea Doo.
That evening we played Beer Pong, my partner Ben and I defeated Heather and Ben's wife, Sarah, in two turns and the ladies got fuzzy pretty quick.
Saturday was spent on the water, but the weather got a little sketchy so we headed in for the day. So instead of having fun in the water, we decided to use the Water Balloon Launcher I had brought to launch water balloons around the Marina and at the kids driving around in golf carts. I have to say I am sure the little kids hated it because instead off going out of our range they always seemed to take the road in front of our place :)
Sunday was everything we wished Saturday had been. We all got runs wakeboarding from the boat, rode the Sea Doo and did cookies in the water and enjoyed our dips to "check the prop."
On the way home we encountered a HUGE rain storm, even with the top on the Jeep, just missing the back, we all got a little misted.

SUMMERTIME

Ya know DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince had the right idea for a song when the put out "Summertime."
I know we haven't submitted any new blogs in FOREVER, but I think that may be a good thing as we have been too BUSY:)
The school year finished off nicely, the TVHS boy's swim team finished 3rd in Conference and 10th in State. Next year should be pretty solid, and yes, I will most likely be coaching Varsity VB, Girl's Swim and Boy's Swim next year again.
We finished school May 29th- the earliest I have ever had off for summer- EVER!!! We go back Aug. 17th???!?!!!?!? Crap, it is gonna be HOT!!!!
Also, Heather and I finished off our attempt to get to every major sporting event in Coloraod in our first year. We made it to the now infamous Bronco-Charger game, thanks to Eric and Pam we got to see the Nuggets vs. Trailblazers (4th row off the floor and YES, Greg Oden is HUGE!!!) and we recently went to the Rockies vs Padres game with our friend Kayli and her brother. Missed out on Hockey, but we will try to do Avalanche vs Ducks next year.
All this coaching has left me pretty out of shape so I have just started doing the P90X series of exercise dvds and I have to say that I actually enjoy doing them- once I get started.
We have the Sea Doo in being "summerized" and should have it out this weekend. A friend of ours found a guy on Craigslist who needed Boat Buddies for early Sunday mornings, so now we go out every Sunday morning and wakeboard or ski for about $10.
The weekend of the 20th we are headed as a big group- all our friends from the swim seasons- toe Glendo, Wyoming to a friends cabin by some massive lake and we are gonna ski, wakeboard, swim, Sea Doo, etc... all weekend. Heather and I are also headed to Torrington, Wyoming that same weekend for my Frosh/Soph VB coaches wedding. WOW!!! Busy.
I will leave it at that for now and will try to get more info posted every so often this summer.
